I know I know I’m now constantly posting about the new shop on Etsy and everything else that goes along with, but look people, in my defense, this stuff is pretty awesome if I may say so myself. But anyways here’s the new addition to the shop, the African kid sweatshirt hope you like.

Naba at my school asked for a flyer, I was quite loaded so I did it on Saturday along with all my other design pending design jobs.
Turned out quite nice actually.
A friend of mine every year organizes a party at a local nightclub for the independence of Ghana (he’s Ghanian), and 3 years ago he asked me to make a flyer for it,
This was the result, needless to say I was hired to make another one for the following year,
And now the time came again, so this came out
I’m personally a big fan of this last one but hey to each it’s own right?
So, I noticed that my sweaters where getting the most love on my Esty shop. So I decided to push a reload of the ever popular African Swag design I made last year, personal favorite is the black one.

So I’ve been obsessed lately with my etsy shop, mostly because it brings such visibility, way more than I ever had with my bigcartel that I canceled last year. Brief, ladies and gents I just made my first online sale after 3 days on the site, it’s truly an entirely better service for a fraction of the price, not that bigcartel was that expensive to begin with.

Some know I launched my owned brand AFR (Africans for a renaissance) contrary to the name it’s not exclusive to Africans, come on in, have a seat, mi Africa e su Africa.
All jokes aside I decided to launch with a crewneck for the ladies, I was in a design slipstream when I came up with a logo and rebranding of the line and this one came about quite naturally. My target being hipsters streetfashion enthusiast and African college students I felt this one hit the mark quite well, being inspired by the Iconic Chanel N5 logo.

So some of you know I’m in school, and I’m part of a couple student orgs, ASU being one, so every chance they get to have me design some work for them is a good thing . This one was for the first General body meeting.
So last year around this same time I started printing shirts and made it a habit to design a new one every week. I made this one back then the week of Valentines day but figured it was too late.
So yesterday I while digging through my files, I stumbled upon it and decided to give it a go, made two more color waves too.
I’m actually having these printed for a local boutique, however I’m making extras and having them available on my esty shop, get it here.

So recently I ran into a couple of etsy shops especially from looking at an item I thought intriguing on tumblr. I finally read about it and realize why it was so popular, a social network of shops, homemade to manufactured. Needless to say I went ahead and enrolled and opened up a shop for my brand of shirts, AFR.
I went ahead and included the successful designs from my last season, but the first 5 pieces are fresh and new, the even include a valentines day special, something the guys would actually want to wear.

A while back I worked with a guy starting it’s own line (as everyone does these days) but this guy had a great reason for starting his, and for that I really went out of my way to deliver for him, at the end he decided to rethink his branding strategy and I was left with this my last effort. I really liked it, it differed a lot from my usual style. (changed the design and took he’s brand off )
